Established in 1998, Aurora has built its reputation not only on the quality of products it offers but also the quality of staff that it employs. Listed below are some of the key personnel.
Hugh Carr-Archer - Chief Executive Officer
Hugh was previously Executive Chairman of a highly successful software house in the education sector. Since the inception of Aurora he has overseen the formation and growth of the company. In 2007 he was elected by his colleagues in the industry to be chairman of the Intellect Association of Biometrics. Intellect is the UK's largest trade and industry association of IT and related technologies.
Patrick Usher - Technical Director
With a successful career in education behind him, Patrick moved into the software industry in 1990 with equal success. In 1998 he co-founded Aurora and leads the company's development of flexible and professional software applications and research.
James Ward - Operations Director
James oversees the customer-facing technical support team, manages major projects and handles new and emerging overseas sales projects.
Richard McLaughlin - I.T Manager
Richard is responsible for the day to day running of the I.T department at Aurora and delivery of all solutions at a technical level to our clients. Richard is also supported by our three technical specialists, Dave Nutton, Adam Ashby-Clarke and Mike Bird.
Paul Coase - Sales Manager
Paul joined Aurora in 2008 with a hugely successful record in sales in the IT industry. He leads the company’s UK sales operation.
Julian Vanloo - Account Executive
Julian has provided services to the Construction Industry for over a decade and is involved in a range of solutions whilst overseeing sales within the construction industry.
Gary Vallance - Account Executive
Gary recently joined Aurora and brings with him a wealth of experience in customer focused sales and solutions. Whilst involved in many market sectors Gary also heads up delivery to the Logistics and Warehousing industry.
Ben O'Brien - Consumable Sales
Ben has a decade of experience in sales and customer delivery. He heads up our consumables division within our UK sales team and is largely responsible for all exhibitions and events that we attend. Ben is also ably supported by Claire Mitchell who provides an internal sales resource for him.
Michele Johnson - Office Manager
Michele is successful in the day to day running of the office and also has a wealth of experience in dealing with our larger clients providing them with excellent customer support in a friendly and approachable manner.
Aurora also has two highly experienced non-executive directors on its board, both of whom have successful involvement in growing companies.
Roger Brown – Non-executive Director
Roger is a director of Noble Grossart Investments Limited with a background in accounting and extensive business experience.
Geoff Wainwright – Non-executive Director
Geoff is a successful businessman and has held executive and non-executive board positions in the software industry for almost 20 years.
