Aurora roll out Face Recognition system for Willmott Dixon

Aurora have recently increased their extensive construction customer base with the addition of Willmott Dixon Housing. The site team working on a major regeneration scheme currently being undertaken by Willmott Dixon Housing in South Acton, took delivery of our face recognition system during February and although we have previously supplied to the construction division of the Willmott Dixon Group, this marks our first installation with the group’s specialist social and affordable housing division. Willmott Dixon is a top 25 UK construction company with a turnover in excess of £800m.

Aurora enjoys good exposure at BETT 2010

Aurora attended BETT between 13th & 16th January on stand P18. Aurora have been impressed with the amount of interest shown in faceREGISTER at BETT.

Aurora launches a rental service for Integrated Biometric Turnstiles to construction sites

In addition to purchasing and leasing options for Aurora’s Integrated Biometric Turnstiles, we are now able to offer a fixed weekly rental rate to companies wishing to hire these systems. Unlike other companies who may offer rental services through partnerships with plant hire businesses, Aurora manages the whole process in conjunction with our turnstile provider.

Aurora now features dynamic links to key MIS providers

As from September Aurora Computer Services Limited now has dynamic links to both:- SIMS from Capita AND CMIS from SERCO

faceREGISTER from Aurora can take key and continually updated information from your schools MIS to populate its database.

In addition faceREGISTER can write attendance marks back to each of the systems, not just for session attendance but for lesson registration as well.

Leventhorpe School in Hertfordshire and East Hampstead School in Bracknell have launched the new academic year by registering students by using faceREGISTER for their 6th form students.

Aurora wins new client Balfour Beatty Construction Northern.

Balfour Beatty has purchased a site access system to secure their construction site at an MOD base in Yorkshire. The system uses our proprietary facial recognition system and a secure airlock style turnstile to control the access and egress of operatives working on this site. Aurora was able to win this contract by being able to meet the client’s requirements and adapting our software.

Aurora wins a biometric Time & Attendance system role out for AJ Morrisroe.

Aurora has been asked to supply a central time and attendance system and biometric readers for 10 sites. The system will allow AJ Morrissroe to pay their PAYE and CIS employees using a biometric and integrate directly with their existing payroll system. The system will be located in their head office but access over ADSL and VPN connections by site managers to check and authorise the hours worked.

Aurora has been working with Capita Children's Services to closely integrate the widely used education management system SIMS, with Aurora's own faceREGISTER and faceMANAGER software.

This partnership will strengthen the working relationship with Capita, ensuring seamless integration of biometric face recognition into standard school management systems.

Aurora won and secured business from BAM Construction who are part of Royal BAM Group. The Royal BAM Group are a European construction giant who have enjoyed a turnover of 9 billion Euros in the last 12 months.

On the 19th March Aurora installed face recognition Time and Attendance software into the South Wales Hospital Development project.

Aurora ID Card Centre launches its product range to rave reviews at the BETT show in Olympia.

Not content with winning contracts to supply over 22 schools with ID card solutions, we also launched our new face recognition 6th form based registration solution. Piloted at St Neots Community College, this technology was a huge hit with students, staff and teachers alike.
